MSF series toroidal magnetic cores are made of thin (25 microns) Co-based amorphous ribbon with flat hysteresis loop have high permeability and very low losses.
Electronic devices surround us in our everyday life and questions of electromagnetic compatibility arise more and more sharply. In this regard, and the requirements for common-mode filters used to protect equipment against the penetration of high-frequency noise from the power supply and to protect the network from the ingress of high-frequency noise from SMPS and other devices that use switching mode become more and more strict. Common-mode filter application area covers a wide range of devices: telecommunications, switching power supplies, frequency converters, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and so on.
With a typical value of permeability of 120 000 and higher, common mode choke filters on the basis of MSF series cores require a smaller number of winding turns, which provides low parasitic capacitance. They have smaller dimensions and provide a higher insertion loss in a wide frequency range with respect to traditional products based on ferrites and permalloys.
CONFIGURATION:
Ribbon wound magnetic core is placed into hard protective container of glass-polyamide and mechanically fixed with silicone sealant.
The container has rounded edges and is designed for direct winding of a thick wire. The container provides reliable mechanical protection and preservation of amorphous material's properties. All materials comply with UL94V-1 / 0.
