Cores for power transformers SMPS

MST series

An amorphous material based on cobalt AMAG 186 is used, which has a very linear flat hysteresis loop with a relatively low magnetic permeability. Therefore, it is often used for precision current transformers.

Typical permeability (material specified when ordering):

   • AMAG 186A – 3300

   • AMAG 186B – 2200

   • AMAG 186C – 1400

Permeability depends little on the working amplitude of induction and frequency. The material has a negative temperature dependence of losses.

It is recommended for transformers of converters, in which a high magnetic permeability of the magnetic circuit and a high inductance of the primary winding are not desirable, the stability of this inductance is important.
